Since it has been awhile since I have been able to update and I have been having trouble with blogger and IE9, I thought a picture update might be a good idea. :-)
A few quick adoption updates. We are currently waiting on immigration approval so that we can complete the last part of our dossier to send it to China. We are hoping and praying that this comes in soon, so we can get one step closer to bringing our little girl home. We can't wait to have her in our arms. We also have some amazing friends who are working to help us with fund raising to help offset the cost of our adoption. Be looking for more informational emails coming soon about ways you can help!
(Grammie came for a visit last weekend and Josh really enjoyed seeing her! I has been a while since we were able to spent time with Grammie, so we appreciated the visit.)
(Granddaddy also came over from the nursing home to visit with us. Josh enjoyed hanging out with Granddaddy in his wheelchair and pushing the chair around too.)
(Grammie brought Josh a shopping cart. He enjoys driving it all over the house putting all kinds of things in the cart. Perhaps Mommy's couponing is rubbing off a bit. :-)
(Josh loves spending time in the water any time he can. We even got him his own little sprinkler for playing in the yard)
(Daddy and Josh reading one of Josh's favorite books on Father's Day. Josh loves to read this book on adoption and give him a chance to learn more about his baby sister.)
(Daddy had a work conference in Orlando and Josh and I got to go too. Check out our nice hotel room, we had a blast playing, exploring and relaxing for a few days.)
(Josh and Daddy playing in the pool while we were in Orlando. Josh really enjoys swimming and holding his breath underwater. He will even count to three for you before going under.)
(Josh splashing Mommy in the face with water.)
(Josh playing in the splash pad in Orlando - he loved this big beach ball!)
(No beach ball would be complete without raspberries)
(Silly boy checking out the kids menu at the T-Rex Restaurant at Downtown Disney)
(Josh and Granddaddy sharing snack while watching Arthur during our afternoon visits. Thankfully Granddaddy is out of the hospital and in a nursing home now.
(Josh helping Daddy make brownies...he really enjoyed getting to help out in the kitchen...it is still a two parent job to cook with him though. :-)
(Josh pushing his buddy the blue bunny around on his train. He really enjoys stuffed animals, this one was gift from his Grandpappy and Linda.)
(Big man eating his first peanut butter sandwich. I wanted to get him started on peanut butter before we go to China. I am planning on taking some with us to keep him happy and healthy.)
(As you can tell peanut butter was a huge hit!! We were cleaning peanut butter out of his hair for a while.)
(When we went to get fingerprinted for immigration to bring baby girl home, we spend some time at the Hands on Children's Museum in Jacksonville. Josh had a blast in the shopping area. He loaded the cart himself and pushed the cart around and around and around. Daddy walked with him making sure he didn't run anyone over or steal their carts.)
(Josh also practiced driving the train there)
(Ball pits are awesome!!!)
(We started a compost pile in May with the hope that we will be able to use it to help our raised garden beds this winter. What raised garden beds you ask? The ones we plan on building sometime in August. :-)
(Josh helping Daddy assembly the mesh keeping our compost pile together. Josh loves working with Daddy any chance he gets.)
(I just love to look out my window and see our cloth diapers hanging on the line. We are still cloth diapering and still loving it. We are planning on keeping it going when baby girl comes home too)
